10.10. Workshop "UTOPIA" Musical: AI in the Future of Entertainment

10:00 - 17:00 (CAMP. Bílý sál)

Participants will embark on a creative journey to develop a futuristic musical, utilizing AI tools to enhance various aspects of digital artistic production: text, music, scenography, and costume design. The workshop explores the possibilities and limitations of AI in the creative process, encouraging participants to reflect on how AI can augment and transform traditional forms of entertainment. The workshop will be led by Carlos Bremond and Célia Bugniot.

Carlos Bremond is an independent creative technologist and the founder of Studio Carlos, with a rich background in engineering and contemporary art. Initially trained as a generalist engineer, Carlos transitioned to contemporary and video art, developing a pioneering concept of remote video and interactive artworks for private clients. His explorations in motion and interactive design took him to Bogotá and Montreal, enhancing his artistic vision. Returning to France, Carlos created interactive artworks for events like COP 21 and designed escape games, demonstrating his versatility. Carlos then joined the Smode team, working on real-time environments for XR studios and large stadium shows, further establishing his expertise in immersive experiences. Post-pandemic, he collaborated with Superbien Studio, leading the development of interactive installations for global events and permanent art spaces. As head of R&D, Carlos focused on real-time generative AI, managing Superlab, the studio’s experimental division. Carlos’s work blends technology and art, from private collections to major art spaces, showcasing his commitment to innovation and artistic excellence.

Célia Bugniot works with new technologies since 2017. Not a technical person herself, she enjoys witnessing the impact of new tools and processes on creative objectives. She has worked on applications of parametric design for architecture, 3D printing for construction, robotics for sculpture and AI for art and image creation. In 2019, she produced Helin, one of the first AI-generated sculptures by artist Christian Mio Loclair, which earned the BCS AI Award by Lumen Prize for Art and Technology. She has mentored or juried in various AI Art competitions including AI Artathon (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia) and SAAI Factory (Hamburg, Germany). Célia is a former collaborator of Sensorium Festival in Bratislava, Slovakia. She is one of the co-authors of the book Stockpiling Food For Thought (Sensorium, 2022) which explores the roles of art and technology during the 2020 pandemic. Since 2020, Célia is based in Paris, France, where she works as COO of a generative AI startup while also developing an illustration and comics art practice.
